wonderland photoshoot

best part of my week: being a part of a really fun & magical photoshoot.

eileen and i drove to buntzen lake in port coquitlam, and discovered a park that was partially flooded.

eileen is an illustrator, designer, and photographer, and she writes a fashion blog on the side. so not only does she have crazy awesome ideas for photoshoots, but she has crazy awesome vintage dresses too. i wore a gorgeous white dress that almost didn't fit me (and actually unzipped on me unknowingly half way through.. good thing we didn't have a huge audience, i would have flashed them all... awkward). as soon as we started the shoot, it started raining. but eileen and i didn't care, and so i got to wade in the water, jump in the rain, and all in a pretty dress that made me feel like a little girl at a tea party. loved it.

oh yeah we also found a beautiful blue building... we may have trespassed, but the signage wasn't super clear. :)

everybody is a photographer

why am i starting a new blog when i am already really bad at keeping up with my food blog?
what a brilliant question! if only i had a brilliant answer. so sad. really i just want a place to blog/post photos about non-food things. photos that i feel too ashamed to post on my flickr site, or photos that need to be seen together, with some sort of description. because really... i'm not a 'photographer' so to speak. i'm amateur at best, and though i do love beautiful photos, i feel that anyone these days can claim to be a photographer. and honestly it kind of annoys me when i see terrible photos being marketed as professional. this is why i claim no such thing. that way, i can post terrible photos and get away with it. :) i love the way i think.

this is eileen. eileen is a beautiful lady with a beautiful spirit and she likes to take photos. especially with the oktomat camera. she dresses super cute and she is also conveniently an artist (illustrator/graphic designer). check out her confessions of a designer. oh yeah, and she loves alice in wonderland.
